Static test on stations and geophysical surveys.
The Milan M5 metro line extends over approximately 25km of tunnels and connects Bignami Nord Park to San Siro Dazn Stadium. Nineteen stations to access a sustainable, agile and interconnected public transport system:
- Stazione Zara is an exchange node with the Yellow Line M3
- Garibaldi FS Nissan station is a hub for the Green Line M2, the Bovisa-Rogoredo railway link and the other regional FS lines
- Stazione Domodossola is an exchange node with the Northern Railways
- Lotto station is an exchange node with the Red Line M1
Akron took care of all the tests (static load tests) for the tests for the 19 stations. The tests were carried out with the application of loads in different ways: weights, trucks, push and pull jacks (up to 15 points of pulling or pushing). Lowering measurements are performed with electrical displacement transducers up to a maximum of 30 measurement points per test.
During the various phases of the construction of tunnels and stations, when particular problems arose, Akron intervened in the diagnostic field with geophysical methods (checks on the yield of consolidations, surveys on the back of tunnel coverings, etc.) and with non-destructive tests on the structures.
